A lottery ticket sold in Winnipeg is the winner of Friday night’s $60 million Lottomax draw according to the Western Canada Lottery Corporation.

The ticket was the only one sold in Canada to exactly match all seven main winning numbers on the Jan. 22 draw: 11, 21, 23, 25, 28, 41, and 43.

It’s the biggest-ever lottery prize ever won on a lottery ticket sold in all of Manitoba.

The previous record win in Winnipeg was a $27.2-million LOTTO 6/49 prize won in 2005, while the provincial record was a $50-million LOTTO MAX jackpot in 2009.

Someone in Winnipeg is the lucky holder of a $60-million-winning lottery ticket, the Western Canada Lottery Corporation announced Saturday.

One lucky Winnipeg ticket holder is a whopping $60 million richer following Friday’s Lotto Max draw.

Western Canada Lottery Corporation officials confirmed Saturday morning that a ticket sold somewhere in the city won the jackpot.

The ticket was the only one sold in Canada to exactly match all seven main winning numbers on the January 22 draw: 11, 21, 23, 25, 28, 41, and 43. The bonus number was 10.

This is the biggest-ever lottery prize ever won by a lottery ticket sold in Winnipeg – and indeed, in all of Manitoba. The previous record win in the city was a $27.2 million Lotto 6/49 prize won in 2005, and the provincial record was a $50 million Lotto Max jackpot in 2009.

The draw also offered six Maxmillions prizes of $1 million each, and one of them was claimed by a lottery player in Quebec. As well, one ticket purchased in British Columbia and another in Alberta had six of the seven winning numbers plus the bonus to claim $306,129 each.

The owner or owners of the winning ticket have up to one year from the draw date to claim the prize. Starting Monday morning, the winner(s) can contact WCLC Player Care at 1-800-665-3313 to verify their ticket and for information on how to begin their claim.

The jackpot for the next Lotto Max draw on Jan. 26 will be approximately $15 million.
