Winning Powerball Numbers Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017: $384M Jackpot

The winning Powerball numbers for Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, have been increased to $384 million.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — If you live in Minnesota, you sadly did not win the October Powerball jackpot. A ticket sold in Louisiana won the Oct. 25 drawing, estimated at $191.1 million with a $119.4 million cash value. However, there was no lottery winner Saturday so the Powerball jackpot for Saturday, Dec. 30 has been increased to a whopping $384 million with a $242.9 million cash value. It will be the last Powerball jackpot set for 2017.

The winning numbers for Saturday, Dec. 30 are: 28 – 36 – 41 – 51 – 58 with a red Powerball number of 24.

Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. central time. If you go to bed before then, check with Patch in the morning for the winning Powerball numbers.

The record in the Powerball jackpot was a $1.6 billion drawing in January 2016, which was won by a couple from Tennessee.

Lottery news: Mega Millions enhanced, starting jackpots increase to $40 million

Mega Millions is being redesigned to bring more value to its players with larger starting jackpots and faster rolls. Starting jackpots will more than double from $15 million to $40 million, and jackpots will grow faster overall.

There will be better odds to win $1 million prizes and higher secondary prizes. The ticket price will also change, moving from $1 to $2.

In the redesigned game, players select five numbers from 1 to 70, and one Mega Ball number from 1 to 25. Players will have a 1 in 24 overall chance of winning a prize.

Players may add the Megaplier option for an extra $1 per play to increase non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4, or 5 times. The enriched Mega Millions game will debut on Oct. 28.
